Intelligence Gathering: Please Help Our Research

We’ve been relying on a small number of students and loved ones for information on Universal Medicine’s activities and affects. We’re looking to broaden our sample. Any information you can give us, even if it seems trivial, helps us build a picture of UM to present to the public. Please help by answering questions on financial, workshop and therapy commitment and lifestyle changes.

I’m still working on the upcoming posts on UM’s conversion process and thought-reform techniques, and while I have enough to work with, I realized I hadn’t asked my sample a few questions about financial investment. Rather than send out emails, I thought it might increase my response rate if I post the questions here.
It would help us greatly if students, ex students or loved ones of students answer any or all of the following questions. Post your answers in the comments or use the contact page. Anonymous comments are fine. If you’d like to answer all questions, let me know via the contact page and I can send a return email with all of them. You can fill in the answers in the email.
This information helps us understand UM’s workings so that we can keep you informed, and will also assist government and non government organizations gathering information, in the interests of assisting the public and aiding recovery of those who have left the group or are wanting to leave.
Financial & Workshop Commitment

How many Esoteric Healing Workshops have you or your loved one attended?
How many local to your home? How many involved travel outside your local area or overseas?
How often did you or your loved one attend UM workshops, events or meetings?
(It might also help if you could mention how long you or they have been involved with UM)
How often have you or your loved one had therapy, medical or healing sessions with UM practitioners? (Eg. weekly, monthly, once only and you thought it was rubbish etc.)
How much have you or your loved one spent on workshops, therapy sessions, UM products (herbs, clearing symbols, pillow cases, books etc), travel and accommodation? How much do you estimate for each or how much in total? Any currency is okay, we’ll convert. Over how much time was this money spent approximately?
Have I missed anything? Donations to renovating the Lighthouse in the UK? Other donations or investments in Serge’s ‘college’?
Daily Practices

I’ve gathered a bit of information on this already, but more is always welcome.
How often did you or your loved one read Serge’s books?
Are they read repeatedly? Is one or more read more than the others?
How often do you or your loved one listen to Serge’s podcasts? For how long on average at a time?
Do you have clearing symbols at home? How many?

Any information given will be kept confidential. I may quote parts of your responses in my posts but without identifying characteristics. If you’d prefer not to be quoted at all, say so in your message.

Thanks in advance.

  1. How many Esoteric Healing Workshops have you or your loved one attended?-20+ workshops over almost 3 years- level 1, 2 3 and 4, chakra puncture + retreats, weekend events, special events- don't know the number. ( lost count once I got to my last toe. No joke)How many local to your home? How many involved travel outside your local area or overseas? – All involved traveling North to Byron Bay + 1 vietnam retreat. How often did you or your loved one attend UM workshops, events or meetings? -one a month at least, plus smaller meetings ( meditations?) locally, and anything else that pops up. It takes precedence over anything else that is planned. WE used to do things. :-((It might also help if you could mention how long you or they have been involved with UM)- nearly loooooong 4 years. How often have you or your loved one had therapy, medical or healing sessions with UM practitioners? (Eg. weekly, monthly, once only and you thought it was rubbish etc.)- Once a week at the moment. Been going on for at least a year. She often hides it from me now.How much have you or your loved one spent on workshops, therapy sessions, UM products (herbs, clearing symbols, pillow cases, books etc), travel and accommodation? How much do you estimate for each or how much in total? Any currency is okay, we'll convert. Over how much time was this money spent approximately- I am guessing at least 30,000 on the workshops, must be $100 a week on other stuff over the last 2 years so another $10,000 _+ travel (flights, hotels, 5,000??). I'm going with $45-55,000, keeping in mind she won't tell me. If I ask she tells me she is working on herself, and apparently I am not. But I am working so she can do the work it seems.

  2. Thanks for this! And thanks for posting it on the site. If you think it might cause problems for you at home, I can pull it down. It's great if I can get as many of these as possible, either posted here or through the contact form. I'm thinking I may be able to get an idea of the average expenditure.I have a report of a mature person who has remortgaged their home and spent in excess of AU$125,000 on UniMed. They appear to have no other assets. They haven't told me how long they've been involved.

  3. Hey, and who knew securing oneself a higher incarnation could get so pricey? In the good old days, before spirituality was commercialized you could swing a cushier next life simply by behaving yourself. No need to attend serial workshops or treatment sessions, and you didn't have to buy any cream. And no bloody podcasts zzzzzzzzzz

  4. What they spend on UM –First we must not forget about the framed picture of the Mona Lisa (that Serge painted in his previous life) below are my estimates that my partner spends on UM products:• Mona Lisa picture – $50.00 • I call it a rice pillow for your eyes from Serges wife $25.00 I believe made with LOVE.• Pillow case $70.00• Esoteric cream $25.00 per tub can go through one a month.• Used to buy the powders prior to TGA removal $30.00 a tub• Now buying the green additive for water to drink $25.00 per bottle can buy monthly• Pack of clearing cards that are placed under everything in the house $30.00 can buy 2 – 3 packs a year depending on how many magically disappear (bloody mice keep eating them)• Purple books UM sell completed collection $300.00• Various CDs – New Era and others $25.00 each have 3 I think.• Monthly meeting EDG / EWG $10.00• Visits to practitioner can be weekly $70– 90 per visit – depending on the crisis this week. • Cost to join UM web site $30.00 fee• Yearly retreat $1450.00• Travel costs $1000.00 yearly +• Serges downloads unknown cost• Chris James concert or retreat $100 – $500 depending on what course• Charaka puncture $70 per visit could be 1 a month• Clearing card $30.00• Candles for burning on clearing card $200.00 per year• And other things that are kept secret could spend another $1000 – $2000 per year• Esoteric massage $50.00 per time can have 6 + a year depending on stress levelAlso there are many indirect costs such as:• Organic foods• Soy milk• Earthly products like washing liquid• Organic chicken• Rice crackers and tuna for lunch• Organic eggs• Gluten free products• Sugar free products• Special cooking oil approved by UM• Heaps of nail polish because Natalie said painting your nails causes stillness, so this is done very often.• Anything new that is preached by Serge has to be tried.• Increase in dental costs – as wife does not want to go to the dentist.• Increase cost in medical treatment as wife is reluctant to go to the doctor.• Poor husbands counselling / Psychologist treatment to deal with UM $800.00 + and growing• And finally when we divorce a big bill for the Solicitor $50,000 and ½ the assets. As you it is evident the spend on UM teachings and products can be very expensive, there is direct expenditure and indirect expenditure but overall my partners spend in an excess of $10,000 per year on UM stuff and our grocery costs have escalated due to the purchase of the various approved foods by UM.I must also say that when you question your partners’ involvement in UM and show resistance to them being involved in UM, they (your partner) start to hide their level of involvement in the group and what they are spending.

  5. Thank you!Hopefully you can get a bit of therapy and understanding here for nix. (Except for the cost of the hardware and broadband etc.)The specialty food component is definitely a factor in the expense – more hoop jumping for the students. Plus, I have EDG notes where there are direct appeals for donations for the $2M loan for the Brisbane clinic, as well as the purchase of houses to be used as student accommodation or as 'free' accommodation for sick students (doesn't call them patients) so they can be close to treatments (plural, as in multiple financial vampiring sessions of sick people via therapies that do nothing). And the first eso nursing home -god help us. What a hide. Also, I probably should have asked this, but I'm seeing students are undergoing a lot of eso therapy – very commonly weekly – but I'm not hearing their health is improving. Hearing the opposite, actually. For this expenditure and this frequency of treatment you'd be hoping to feel more energetic, less symptoms of illness, more alert, calmer etc. It's not happening. May have to post a separate intelligence gathering post for that question alone.

  6. Serge has no financial interest in Universal Medicine Brisbane by the way. The students who bought the property were asking for others who wished to contribute and be a part of it. Nothing sinister here I am afraid -sorry to disappoint you.
